This time, our guests enjoyed both a hands-on Taiko drum experience and a Mini Taiko Omamori-making activity in Furano, Hokkaido.
We began with the basics of Japanese Taiko drumming, including how to hold the drumsticks, how to strike the drum, and how to use the whole body to create a strong sound.

Taiko is not only about hitting the drum hard.
Posture, movement, timing, and rhythm all come together to create the powerful sound and energy of Japanese Taiko.

After practicing some basic rhythms, our guests enjoyed playing on full-size Taiko drums and experiencing their deep sound and vibration.
No previous musical experience is required, so beginners can enjoy the activity at their own pace.
Make Your Own Mini Taiko Omamori
After the Taiko session, our guests also created their own Mini Taiko Omamori.

These small handmade Taiko charms combine a miniature drum with decorative tags and colorful cords.
Each one can be made a little differently, creating a unique souvenir to remember your time in Furano.
Small enough to fit in your hand, the Mini Taiko Omamori is a special keepsake that you can take home after the experience.
Experience Japanese Culture and Take the Memory Home
This experience gives you the chance not only to learn and play Japanese Taiko, but also to create something you can take home with you.
It is a fun way to enjoy Japanese culture through sound, rhythm, creativity, and hands-on participation.
If you are looking for a unique cultural activity during your trip to Furano or Hokkaido, come and experience Japanese Taiko with us.
